    Why silver jewellery?

“I like working in three dimensions. Jewellery is a lot like sculpture, only it relates to the body as opposed to some other space – so it's more personal. It's also makes for interesting artifacts because of how it relates to time (marking time, or the passage of time) and personal relationships.”

    About

Sefton Silver is the personal studio of Stephen MacDowell, an artist creating pendants, rings and other forms most often in sterling silver. He uses line drawings and sculpture to create his pieces, and draws inspiration from classic forms like filigree and lace, traditional arts like paper cutouts, and natural patterns like shattered glass.
